dravya-yajñās tapo-yajñā
yoga-yajñās tathāpare
svādhyāya-jñāna-yajñāś ca
yatayaḥ saṁśita-vratāḥ

Some by sacrificing one’s possessions(dravya-yajna), by performing severe austerities(tapo-yajna), by sacrificing in yoga(controlling the mind)(yoga-yajna), by self study of the Vedas to advance spiritually(svadhaya), become enlightened having taken strict vows.

Here other form of yajnas are being told –

  • daana – charity of one’s possessions
  • tapas – performing severe auserities
  • yoga – controlling the mind
  • sva-adhyaya – self study of the scriptures

By performing these strictly some perform yajna.
