As they surrender to Me, I reward them accordingly. Everyone follows my path in all respects, O Partha!

Different people approach God differently. As people approach him, he presents to them accordingly. In the sense God grants them their wishes. To some God is a friend, to some He is the son, to some He is the lover, to some He is the son.

Divya – People are rewarded according to their devotion/purity with what they deserve. In the sense, God grants them wishes, but with terms and conditions. Everything happens according to his plans.

Desiring the fruitive results of their karma, men worship demigods in this world. In this manushya loka, results of their karma are obtained quickly.

In the previous verse, God said that he grants wishes for everybody. But why are people not asking the right thing? That’s because one gets rewarded very quickly in this human world. They pray to demigods for this quick results for their karma, to enjoy in this material world.
