Those beings who follow these injunctions daily, with faith and devotion, without envy, they will become free of karma.

In the previous verse, Lord says how to act – by surrendering, with full knowledge of Him, having no desire or attachment.

Here Lord says what happens when one follows these injunctions. If one acts this way without any asuya, he will get rid of his karma bondage.

Me: What is asuya? or rather why asuya in this context?
Divya: Asuya, here means overinflated ego. Not wanting to acknowledge the role(control) of a higher entity in our lives. The ego – which says I do everything, so I should be the one who gets credits, not God.

Divya: Only by surrender one can imbibe the qualities of the entity we are surrendering to. We surrender only when we don’t have any negative feelings towards that person/entity. So one should get rid of “asuya” towards Lord.

However those who out of envy do not regularly perform MY injunctions, know that they are fools, without any knowledge and are ruined.

Previous verse tells what will happen when one follows Lord’s injunctions. Now it says what will happen when one doesn’t follow those injunctions. They will be bereft of knowledge and are to be considered as fools, and they will be ruined.
